Ibelieve illustration is one of the most effective ways of rendering a uniqueness to just about any subject. This is particularly true of books and other publications—be it in traditional print format or as e-books.
Try to recall in your mind's eye, famous comic strip characters such as Tintinor Garfield, or even a superhero such as Superman. I am sure you will be able to recall the illustrations of the characters far more easily than portrayals by actors! Such is the power of a well-drawn line.
The contexts in which illustrations appear call for different types of illustration. I believe clients should be offered a choice of more than one style. Therefore, I have included on this site some of my different illustration styles, ranging from realistic renditions to caricature.
Unless the brief requires it, I prefer not to restrict myself to one media. I love the flexibility and spontaneity of mixed media illustrations. Experimenting with different art materials and discovering what works well together— and what does not—is a favourite hobby of mine.
